Preparation is essential to being able to offer delicious meals all day long, & we make up-to 30 fresh sauces from scratch every morning in our restaurants. So, being organised & informed is important.
We make sure that our people are well prepared with great training from the get-go & along the way because we care about our people’s development & the experience they deliver to our guests.
Not only will regular recipe updates be made to both our food & drinks menus, we make sure our people are up to scratch & ready to serve before the changes go live.
We’ve got Latin passion running through our veins & we like to ensure that standards are upheld across all of our restaurants so a consistent experience is had by guests – they’ll know when they’ve been to Las Iguanas because they’ll feel the carnival vibe & celebrate the everyday. This means we provide structure & guidance so our people feel comfortable in what they’re doing.
We also celebrate innovation & look for ideas from our talented people with regular (healthy) competitions. This allows Las Iguanas’ people to rise to the top & scoop top prizes. Their creations even feature on our menus and garner a little fame & publicity along the way.
Made from scratch applies to more than just our dishes, we believe in promoting from within & recognising success, in fact 70% of our General Managers have been promoted from our existing employees!
We feel that we add the personal touch with our very human resources & an Engagement Manager, dedicated to making our people feel motivated & happy. To top it all off we’re an Investors in People champion with a market leading benefits package to offer.

Not only are our people star quality, our restaurants are all 4 stars & above on TripAdvisor. We really know how to make an entrance with our EHO scores on the doors averaging 4.96 across our restaurants. We even score over 4 stars on Glassdoor, so it’s not just us saying!
As well as passion we’ve got a lot of pride in our appearance & regularly refurbish our restaurants to ensure they feel as fresh as our food.
Whether our top chefs are getting their creations recognised at a global level or our bartenders are shaking their cocktail making skills & raising the bar, our peoples’ talents get the credit they deserve within Las Iguanas & beyond.

We’ve created a fun & friendly atmosphere that’s full of Latin spirit. We believe in working hard, & playing even harder. With a carnival-inspired environment that’s all about everyday celebration, your days will feel fun-filled.
We make sure that our peoples’ efforts don’t go unnoticed or unrewarded. With competitions continuously running our people are able to show off their talents & receive top prizes, such as trips of a lifetime or cash & gain the recognition they deserve. These competitions are designed to get the creative juices flowing so a great time is had, learning along the way & sometimes seeing people’s masterpieces make it onto the menu.
Our people tell us there’s a family feeling within our teams & that people are always prepared to lend a helping hand. We all have those days when we could do with a little boost to feel at our best, and our dedicated ‘Motivation Manager’ is hard at work, meaning our people don’t feel it, organising incentives, competitions, & multiple ways to motivate them. This means they feel supported by the people around them & share some special moments & plenty of laughs.
Our restaurants are regularly refurbished to reflect Latin American culture & spirit so our people feel relaxed & inspired to go with the Carnival vibe & enjoy the celebration every day.
We started off in quirky Bristol & have scaled to 54 restaurants across the UK, but we’ve still got that local feel, just on a larger scale. So there are lots of places to live, work & laugh locally in the UK.
We have a lot to give and give a lot.
We’re passionate about shared success & celebrating achievements. We encourage our people to be attentive, without being intrusive & we’re pleased to see it pays off because 100% of tips go directly to our people.
We’ve even got friendly competitions with top prizes such as trips of a lifetime like our Race to Rio, Cracking Cuba, or sensational city breaks across Europe.
Our benefits packages are top notch too, & we offer very competitive salaries across the board. It’s important that our valued people feel their value. We’re a family group with plenty of places to have delicious food and have drinks with your friends & family. Our people put a lot into our culinary creations & creative cocktails and they’ll get to taste the fruits of their labours with 50% off the bill when they dine at a CDG restaurant, so they’ll have twice the fun at half the price.
But the generosity doesn’t just stop there!
As people passionate people, we love to give back, in particular, to the LATA foundation, our charity of choice inspired by our Latin roots. We’re also partial to playing Santa, so children less fortunate get a gift from us in their stocking on Christmas day.
As you can imagine we’re often doing all sorts of fun fundraising activities where everyone gets stuck in to raise some money & smiles.
To top it off every year we host our Annual Awards, & it is quite the bash – even if we do say so ourselves.
